About the student The student is in the 8th grade doing home schooling through the Saluda County School District. She needs to work with a tutor for general studies as well as the Iowa test. The family is open to 1-2 tutors to cover all subjects. The student could use general assistance here and there with her general class work. The family would like for her to go to a private school starting in the spring so she needs to do well on the IOWA. The Iowa Assessment is an 8th grade level 14 exam that evaluates core academic skills in ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The goals for the student are for her to stay on top of her schoolwork and to score high on the Iowa. The family wants 3 hour sessions 3 to 5 times a week (For a total of 15 hours a week.) between 9am-2pm Monday through Friday. The family would have preferred to meet in-person with the tutor at their home in Batesburg but are open to meet at the Lexington County Public Library at 5440 Augusta Road in Lexington. (They would also be open to meeting at the Aiken County Library.) Requirements

REQUIRED

You have experience teaching/tutoring. You are willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles). Due to insurance requirements, applicant must not be a minor. Tutor must be available for 3 hour sessions 3 to 5 times a week (For a total of 15 hours a week.) between 9am-2pm Monday through Friday. (Or half of that time if two tutors.)
