We are building an ongoing pool of qualified education professionals for elementary, middle, and high school campuses throughout Houston and surrounding communities . We are currently seeking candidates who speak English plus one or more of the following languages: Spanish Pashto Farsi French Amharic Tigrinya American Sign Language (ASL) Candidates with additional language abilities are also encouraged to apply. Positions May Include Depending on your qualifications, language skills, certification, and campus needs, assignments may include: Bilingual Academic Instructor Multilingual Academic Support Specialist Academic Interventionist Elementary Reading Tutor Reading / ELA Tutor Math Tutor Bilingual Teaching Specialist Multilingual Teaching Specialist Certified Teacher Tutor English Learner / Newcomer Academic Support Sign Language / ASL Instructor Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Student Support Small-Group Academic Instructor Individual Student Tutor Push-In Classroom Academic Support Current Priority Needs We are especially interested in candidates qualified for: Spanish / English Elementary Reading and ELA Bilingual academic intervention Elementary, middle, and high school instructional support Certified teachers are strongly encouraged to apply Pashto / English Elementary, middle, and high school academic support English Learner and newcomer student support Farsi / English Elementary, middle, and high school academic support English Learner and newcomer student support French / English Academic and multilingual student support Amharic or Tigrinya / English Academic intervention Multilingual and newcomer student support American Sign Language (ASL) School-based Sign Language instruction Support for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students Student and family communication support Multilingual educational programming Schedule Assignments are generally scheduled during the regular school day. Elementary School Assignments Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-3:00 PM Middle & High School Assignments Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-3:30 PM Schedules may vary slightly depending on the assigned campus and program. Both ongoing and assignment-based opportunities may be available. Locations We are hiring for positions throughout the Greater Houston area . Applicants should be willing to accept assignments within a reasonable commuting distance of their preferred area.

Qualifications Qualifications vary by assignment. Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following: Bachelor's degree or relevant college coursework Texas teaching certification Previous classroom, tutoring, intervention, mentoring, or instructional experience Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students Experience supporting English Learners, newcomer students, or multilingual families Strong oral and written communication skills Fluency in English and at least one requested language for bilingual/multilingual assignments ASL fluency for Sign Language assignments Ability to work independently in a school environment Dependable transportation Reliable attendance and professional communication Teaching certification is preferred for certain assignments but is not required for every position . Responsibilities Depending on the assignment, instructors may: Provide individual or small-group academic instruction Support students in Reading, ELA, Math, and other academic subjects Reinforce classroom instruction and grade-level skills Assist English Learners and newcomer students with academic language development Provide bilingual or multilingual instructional support Work collaboratively with teachers and campus staff Monitor student participation and academic progress Maintain accurate attendance and service documentation Participate in required orientation or training Maintain professional communication with A Yancy Life supervisors and assigned campus personnel Why Apply to This Posting?
