To operate the computer lab and provide minimal instruction to students utilizing the lab. High School Diploma or GED required with documented proof of Composition I with a C or higher. Prefer applicant be currently enrolled as a CTC student, however applicant may not be currently enrolled in the Developmental Studies Program. Three years wage earning customer service experience required or certification/successful completion of relevant trade school (30 college credits) and six months wage earning customer service experience. A copy of college transcripts required with application to show completion of Composition I Demonstrated proficiency in computer use and basic technology applications. Strong command of the English language . Ability to demonstrate patience, professionalism, and courtesy when assisting others. Proficiency in academic reading, and writing. Effective verbal and written communication skills when interacting with students and staff. Dependable, punctual, and committed to adhering to established laboratory operating hours. Open LRC/Computer Lab at designated times. Boot-up the network and operate network during lab hours. Instruct students on usage of computers and software. Oversee the operation of the lab during lab hours. Maintain security of all materials and equipment in the lab. Shut down the system at the end of lab hours. Lock lab at the end of operating hours. Bring to the attention of the Lab Manager any potential problems that need to be addressed. Other duties as assigned.
