Join a thriving academic center built around great instruction, strong relationships, and student success. We're looking for an enthusiastic and engaging K-3 Reading & Phonics Tutor who can also confidently support students in elementary math through 5th grade.
Responsibilites:
Provide individualized instruction in phonics, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension Help K-3 students strengthen foundational reading skills and become confident readers Provide academic support in elementary math through 5th grade Adapt instruction to meet individual student needs Encourage students, celebrate progress, and make learning a positive experience Work alongside a collaborative team that loves building kids up and helping them succeed
Qualifications:
Experience teaching or tutoring early elementary reading Strong understanding of phonics and foundational literacy skills Comfortable teaching math concepts through the 5th-grade level Dynamic, outgoing, and encouraging personality Patient and able to connect with students who may be struggling or lack confidence Dependable and available Monday-Friday during after-school hours
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 24.0 per week

How many years of experience do you have working with elementary-age students in a teaching, tutoring, childcare, or educational setting? Describe your experience teaching foundational reading skills such as phonics, decoding, fluency, and reading comprehension? Are you comfortable tutoring elementary math through the 5th-grade level? This role requires an upbeat, engaging personality and the ability to motivate young students who may lack confidence or enthusiasm for learning.
