Club Z! Tutoring Services of Charlottesville is growing! We are seeking knowledgeable, dependable tutors who enjoy helping students strengthen academic skills, build confidence, and achieve their learning goals. We are hiring multiple tutors for personalized, one-on-one K-12 academic tutoring and test preparation. Subjects Needed We are recruiting tutors for K-12 core academic subjects, particularly: Math English / Language Arts , including reading and writing Science Test Preparation , including SAT and PSAT Applicants may specialize in one or more subjects and grade levels. Proficiency across all subjects is not required. Service Area We are recruiting across these nine Virginia counties: Albemarle, Augusta, Rockingham, Greene, Orange, Louisa, Fluvanna, Buckingham, and Nelson. Tutors may serve one or more counties and are not expected to cover the entire region. Student assignments will be matched to each tutor's subject expertise, availability, and travel preferences. Responsibilities Provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring in students' homes and online. Identify student needs and establish clear, measurable learning goals. Prepare lessons and adapt instruction to each student's learning needs. Help students develop subject knowledge, effective study habits, and independent learning skills. For test preparation assignments, teach relevant content, test structure, and test-taking strategies. Track student progress and provide brief session updates. Communicate professionally with families and the Club Z! team. Maintain a dependable schedule and arrive prepared for sessions. Required Qualifications Applicants must meet

AT LEAST ONE

of the following: Hold an associate degree or higher. Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program. Have at least three years of teaching or tutoring experience if neither education criterion above is met. Preferred Qualifications A bachelor's degree or higher. Experience working with students with special education needs. A multilingual background. At least three years of teaching experience in a school or educational organization. Tutoring Format & Schedule We offer a hybrid tutoring model with in-home and online sessions. Scheduling is coordinated around student needs and tutor availability. Assignments depend on student demand, subject fit, location, and availability. Weekly hours may vary. Compensation & Travel Pay ranges from $18 to $25 per hour, based on the difficulty of the subject or course and the tutor's education and relevant teaching or tutoring experience. Travel expenses are generally not reimbursed. For assignments requiring more than 20 minutes of one-way travel, fuel reimbursement terms may be discussed and agreed upon before the assignment begins.
