Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Referee to officiate basketball games for adult leagues. Also, looking for people to help take scores and keep up with stats. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and a strong understanding of the game, ensuring fair play and adherence to rules while fostering a positive environment for players. This role is essential in promoting sportsmanship and providing guidance to young athletes. Responsibilities Officiate basketball games, ensuring all rules and regulations are followed. Maintain control of the game by managing player behavior and addressing any conflicts that arise. Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and spectators to ensure a clear understanding of calls made during the game. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to athletes to enhance their skills and understanding of the game. Collaborate with other referees and league officials to ensure smooth operation of games. Keep up with game to game stats and keep up with the scores Skills Strong knowledge of basketball rules and regulations. Excellent conflict management skills to handle disputes calmly and effectively. Strong communication skills to convey decisions clearly and maintain rapport with players and coaches. Experience working with people, demonstrating patience and understanding in a sports setting.
