Seeking a reliable, patient, and personable Chef Instructor to work with clients in their homes in Rancho Mirage and the surrounding Coachella Valley. This position is focused on hands-on cooking instruction . You will work directly alongside the client, teaching them how to prepare meals step-by-step while helping them build confidence and practical cooking skills.
THE ROLE
As a Chef Instructor, your job is simple and focused: You arrive at the client's home with the necessary groceries and cooking equipment , then work hands-on with the client to prepare the scheduled recipes together. You will patiently guide the client through each recipe, explaining techniques and instructions clearly while allowing them to actively participate in the cooking process. All recipes, menus, and instructions are provided by the Executive Chef Team and must be followed exactly as written. Once the cooking session is complete, you will clean the kitchen and cooking area before leaving. You will take a picture of the finished food plates/containers and submit it to the Executive Chef Team for the company records. Then the shift is over, simple as that. Shop, Cook, Clean up, Take a picture, done. You are not responsible for creating menus, developing recipes, selling services, managing the client, or handling administrative work.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Arrive reliably and on time to scheduled client appointments Bring the required groceries and necessary cooking equipment Prepare the provided recipes exactly as written Cook alongside the client in a hands-on, instructional environment Teach patiently and clearly, going step-by-step through each recipe Help clients develop confidence and practical cooking skills Adjust your teaching pace to the client's learning ability and comfort level Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional attitude Keep the cooking experience organized and enjoyable Clean the kitchen, equipment, and work area after the session Leave the client's kitchen clean and orderly
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who is an excellent cook but also enjoys teaching people . The right person is patient, dependable, professional, and comfortable working one-on-one with clients. You must be able to explain cooking techniques in a simple, easy-to-understand way without becoming frustrated or rushing the client.
