Youth Culinary Arts Instructor New Avenue Incorporated | Seasonal | 8 Weeks | Stipend of $2,000 per session Session 1: September 2026 - November 2026 Session 2: January 2027 - March 2027 New Avenue Inc. is seeking a passionate Culinary Arts Instructor to lead an engaging, hands-on culinary program for youth. This is a great opportunity for a chef, culinary professional, educator, or experienced instructor who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive impact through food, creativity, and skill-building. What You'll Do Develop a draft curriculum for a 6-8 week youth culinary arts program. Lead hands-on cooking lessons and activities. Teach basic cooking techniques, kitchen skills, food safety, and nutrition. Create a fun, positive, and supportive environment for youth. Supervise youth and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Adapt activities to different ages, abilities, and skill levels. Communicate program needs and supply requests with New Avenue staff. What We're Looking For Current ServSafe certification — required. Experience working with and instructing youth. Culinary experience, professional cooking experience, or strong hands-on culinary skills. Comfortable leading groups and managing a youth-centered learning environment. Reliable, organized, patient, and enthusiastic. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Bonus:
Culinary education/certification, youth program experience, CPR/First Aid certification, or experience teaching cooking classes. Compensation & Program Details 8 week seasonal program | Commitment 2 evenings per week for 2.5-3 hours Stipend-based position of $2,000.00 Assistant provided New Avenue provides approved culinary supplies and materials Instructor develops the draft curriculum and implements the approved program About New Avenue Inc.
