04/12/2011 Position Overview This is a perpetual vacancy announcement that is filled based on need only. All applications are kept on file for when a need arises. Only when a need arises will applicants be contacted. The College of Education and Technology is seeking qualified candidates to teach as part-time resource faculty. Availability will depend on the needs of the university each semester: therefore, you may not be contacted immediately. Credentials will remain on file for 1 year from the date application is submitted. At that time, current applicants will be asked to re-apply. Requirements Minimum requirements for most subject areas include: a master's degree in the discipline and/or a master's degree with 18 hours in a related discipline, a terminal degree in the discipline to be taught is preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates with a New Mexico level three licensure or previous college level teaching experience. Salary will be based on degree and experience and paid on a credit hour basis. Working Conditions Adjunct faculty positions are part time temporary assignments that are based on the needs of the university.
