Job Description
Olentangy Schools is seeking qualified candidates for multiple Preschool Intervention Specialist positions for the 2027-28 school year. The preschool classroom will serve a range of students, ages 3-5, that qualify for special education services; up to eight students with IEPs; and will have at least one preschool assistant. Plans, implements, and evaluates student learning experiences designed to address a wide range of maturity and skill levels. Helps students develop language, social, cognitive, and motor skills. Encourages parental involvement. Qualified candidates will be employed through the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio (ESCCO) and must hold or be eligible for valid and appropriate licensure (i.e., Early Childhood Intervention Specialist P-3 and early childhood general education license) for each position with the Ohio State Department of Education and Workforce.
Employment status: Certified, full-time, 185-day employment contract
Qualifications for the position include:
- Valid and appropriate Ohio teaching certificate/license
- Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
- Alternative to the above qualifications as Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate Candidates must submit an external online application in Applicant Tracking (SchoolSpring) and complete an online Teacher Candidate Assessment. In addition, a letter of interest and current resume must be uploaded within the Attachments section of the application. The online Teacher Candidate Assessment is sent via a link under separate email cover. On occasion, the email may end up in junk or spam mail. If so, the link will be titled "Do Not Reply" with the subject "Regarding your Olentangy Local Schools application". Keep in mind that the Teacher Candidate Assessment is a timed assessment, so please set aside approximately 45 minutes of uninterrupted time before you begin the process. Once the assessment is started, it must be completed within the designated time frame, and multiple attempts to complete the assessment are not permitted.
