Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Culinary Arts Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring chefs. In this role, you will deliver engaging culinary instruction, combining hands-on food preparation with theoretical knowledge to cultivate students' skills in the culinary arts. Your expertise will help students develop proficiency in cooking techniques, food safety, kitchen management, and presentation, preparing them for successful careers in the food industry. Duties Instruct high school students in various aspects of culinary arts which may include but is not limited to, food preparation, nutrition, menu planning, equipment, supplies, safety and sanitation. Design and implement lesson plans according to the schools requirements. Present lessons in a comprehensive manner Supervise students during practical kitchen sessions, ensuring safe food handling, sanitation, and proper knife skills. Provide guidance on food industry standards including nutrition, food safety regulations, inventory management, and sanitation practices. Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback Maintain a well-organized kitchen environment aligned with health and safety standards while managing supplies and inventory efficiently. Requirements Post-secondary Culinary Degree required Vocational Certification or be willing to obtain Minimum of 5 years industry experience
