Lead Teacher for Early Education

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher for Early Education to inspire young learners and foster their developmental growth. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum, and create a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional skills, and foundational knowledge. Your leadership will ensure that children receive high-quality early childhood education aligned with best practices in child development, literacy, and preschool teaching. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the educational experiences of young children while collaborating closely with families and staff to support each child's unique journey. Duties Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Lead classroom activities that promote active learning, social skills, behavior management, and classroom management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment. Assess child development progress regularly and tailor instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent delivery of quality early childhood education. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications, and child welfare regulations. Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, student assessments, attendance, and incident reports while adhering to confidentiality policies. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management strategies, and child development instruction. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
