Provide behavioral treatment and SEL instruction for children with emotional, behavioral, and/or developmental disabilities. The
INCLUSION
Program offers intensive, individualized support to children aged 5-14 (grades K-8) with significant emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges. Services are provided in local public schools and at our center-based tutorial program.
Responsibilities:
Implement academic and environmental accommodations Curriculum development, daily planning for academic instruction Use behavior techniques, like modeling appropriate interaction, to maintain and shape behavior Crisis Intervention to ensure safety of students and others Professional Relationships/Documentation Individual instruction Teach social and adaptive skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution Develop collaborative working relationships with school personnel Assess/record/analyze academic skill level and ongoing curriculum necessary to promote skill development Completes data collection as required Participate in Treatment Team meetings Participate in training and workshops to further professional development Participate in weekly supervision
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree VT Teaching License or License eligible 2 years of a combination of skills, experience and/or education in supporting youth in an education setting Experience with children with emotional and/or behavioral disabilities Valid driver's License, acceptable driving record and use of a personal vehicle
Structure:
Full-time 217 day annual calendar including: School year (175 days) with paid days off during school vacations 4 week summer program 2+ weeks in-service for ongoing professional development AFSCME Union (dues will apply) Starting at $24.34 -$25.34 We offer a competitive salary commensurate to experience
