The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aerospace manufacturing environments and a strong understanding of AS9100D , customer-specific requirements, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and supplier/customer quality management. This role will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Production, Suppliers, and Customers to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and customer expectations while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Maintain and improve compliance with AS9100D , customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. Develop and process FAI's (First Article Inspection) for key customers as needed. Lead investigations of internal, supplier, and customer quality issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies. Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Review manufacturing processes and quality data to identify opportunities for process improvement and defect reduction. Interface directly with aerospace customers regarding quality performance, audits, nonconformances, and corrective actions. Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits. Conduct internal audits and assist in maintaining the Quality Management System. Review engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing plans to ensure compliance. Analyze quality metrics and report trends to management. Participate in First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9100 requirements. Support supplier qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and corrective action activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, delivery performance, and operational efficiency. Assist with Material Review Board (MRB) activities and disposition of nonconforming material. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing. Strong working knowledge of AS9100D and aerospace quality requirements. Experience supporting customer requirements from major aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Proficiency with root cause and corrective action methodologies including: 8D/5 Why/Fishbone/Ishikawa Analysis PFMEA Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferred but not required Preferred Qualifications Experience working with customers such as: Collins Aerospace, Raytheon, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Spirit AeroSystems a plus but not required Other Tier 1 aerospace manufacturers and suppliers ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification. Experience with ERP and quality systems software. Knowledge of special process requirements and supplier quality management. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.

$70,334.98 - $84,704.50 per year
