Full-Time | Direct Hire Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support aircraft manufacturing operations in Sandpoint, Idaho. This role will work closely with production mechanics, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to solve manufacturing challenges and improve aircraft build processes. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience , including significant hands-on experience in aerospace and aircraft manufacturing . Key Responsibilities Work directly with mechanics and production teams to identify and resolve aircraft manufacturing and build issues. Improve manufacturing methods, production sequencing, ergonomics, work content, and overall production flow. Support fabrication, subassembly, and final assembly manufacturing processes. Perform CAD, drawing interpretation, DFM, and GD&T analysis . Create and update manufacturing drawings, models, and documentation to meet fit, form, and function requirements. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues. Identify opportunities to reduce labor hours, rework, scrap, and production bottlenecks. Develop and improve tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes. Manage ERP alignment, eBOM/mBOM reconciliation, routings, and production data structures . Collaborate with Engineering when manufacturing documentation or processes do not adequately address production issues. Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives. Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Qualifications 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience , including extensive aerospace experience. Direct aircraft manufacturing experience required. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering , or a related field.
Strong experience with:
CAD Engineering drawings GD&T Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Manufacturing methods and process development Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes such as: Machining Sheet metal Welding Composites Mechanical and electrical assembly Experience working with ERP systems, eBOMs, mBOMs, routings, and manufacturing documentation . Strong root-cause analysis and corrective-action experience. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
