• Clinical trials What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Supporting clinical trial protocols and site activation, including device setup, staff training, and protocol compliance verification Conducting field investigations and troubleshooting device performance issues in clinical and hospital settings Collecting, documenting, and verifying clinical data to ensure accuracy, traceability, and regulatory compliance Communicating directly with clinical staff, investigators, and site coordinators to resolve technical and operational challenges Maintaining detailed technical records and contributing to clinical study reports and regulatory submissions Assisting with post-market surveillance, adverse event documentation, and device performance monitoring Supporting quality assurance activities and process improvements based on clinical observations What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 2-5 years of experience in clinical engineering, field clinical support, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field Working knowledge of FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, clinical trial protocols (ICH-GCP), and medical device compliance requirements Familiarity with data integrity principles and healthcare documentation standards Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clinical teams in hospital and trial environments Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have Clinical trial experience or site management background Familiarity with specific medical device categories (implantables, diagnostics, surgical instruments) Relevant certifications such as CLED (Certified Life Sciences and Engineering Design) or equivalent Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems or clinical laboratory information systems What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: Direct involvement in bringing medical devices and therapeutics to patients through clinical validation and real-world implementation Exposure to regulatory pathways, clinical evidence generation, and post-market surveillance processes Opportunity to develop deeper expertise in clinical operations, device design feedback loops, and healthcare compliance Flexible contract engagement with potential for extension based on project needs and performance Collaborative environment working across engineering, clinical, and quality teams Professional development in a dynamic healthcare technology sector About Specialist Staffing Group We are a specialized staffing partner dedicated to connecting talented professionals with impactful opportunities in clinical, engineering, and life sciences sectors.
