We are seeking an Engineering or Recent Graduate with strong SolidWorks skills to join our team as a SolidWorks CAD Engineering / CAD Designer. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced mechanical and manufacturing engineers to convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into accurate 3D SolidWorks models, create assemblies and technical drawings, and support real-world product development and manufacturing projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate who wants hands-on experience with mechanical design, CAD modeling, manufacturing, prototyping, and design for manufacturing (DFM). Key Responsibilities Convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into detailed 3D SolidWorks models. Create mechanical parts, assemblies, and technical drawings. Review drawings and verify dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. Develop exploded views and Bills of Materials (BOMs) as needed. Modify and update CAD models based on engineering and manufacturing feedback. Organize and maintain CAD files for prototyping and production. Work collaboratively with engineers and manufacturing personnel. Assist with design documentation and other CAD-related projects.
Qualifications Required:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in: Mechanical Engineering Product Design Manufacturing Engineering CAD/Design Engineering or a related field Proficiency in SolidWorks. Ability to read and understand AutoCAD drawings. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and communication skills. Willingness to learn and work collaboratively.
Preferred:
Experience with SolidWorks assemblies. Experience with sheet metal or weldments. Familiarity with GD&T. AutoCAD experience. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Experience with prototyping or manufacturing processes.
