We often work with clients who value an artistic approach to design, granting us a creative and fulfilling work environment. This is a hybrid position, with partial hours able to be worked from home. In-city work at existing and prospective client properties is also required. We can offer a lot of flexibility to the right candidate: Part-time or full-time; contract or W2 status; temporary or permanent. Starting pay is negotiable and based on experience. This position requires some or all of the following:
Experience:
Professional drafting experience: 3+ years required Project management through schematic, design, and construction phases required Team collaboration on various project-related tasks Ability to source project materials and design elements Follow schedules and budget commitments Strong organizational skills Creative problem solving Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, for client, vendor, city, and colleague correspondence Knowledge of landscaping and common landscaping plants Familiarity with high-end design elements (e.g. outdoor appliances, tile and hardscape materials, plumbing, light fixtures, furniture) Must be located in the Bay Area while under our employ Personal vehicle required; ability to drive 50+ miles in a day for site visits, as needed (with mileage reimbursement) Research code requirements and use governmental agency interfaces for project-related communication Personal vehicle required, ability to drive 50+ miles in a day for site visits, as needed Bachelor's Degree in landscape architecture, design, or exterior design Minimum of three years professional architectural experience or equivalent project management experience required Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, ability to develop full landscape sheet sets including: master plan, planting plan, lighting plan, furnishings plan, and irrigation plan (when required) as well as detailed drawings and elevations; keep drawing set up to date with change orders and details during design development Research and familiarity with local code requirements SketchUp experience required Lumion experience preferred, but not required Please include a portfolio with your application; we'd love to see your exterior CAD work!
