AutoCAD Drafter - Engineering Firm Florida International Engineering is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience using AutoCAD, understand construction measurements, and have basic knowledge of the Florida Building Code .

Responsibilities:

Prepare and revise drawings using AutoCAD. Create accurate plans based on field measurements, sketches, existing plans, and engineer instructions. Read and understand architectural, structural, and construction drawings. Make plan revisions and corrections as directed by engineers. Verify dimensions, measurements, notes, and details for accuracy. Assist with preparing drawings for permit submittals. Work closely with engineers and other team members on active projects. Able to comprehend and address building reviewers comments.

Requirements:

Must be proficient in AutoCAD . Must be able to speak and understand English . Must understand feet, inches, dimensions, and construction measurements . Basic understanding of the Florida Building Code (FBC) . Ability to read and understand construction and engineering plans. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Must be reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines. Must be able to commute to our office and work in person. Previous drafting, architectural, engineering, or construction experience is preferred. Able to comprehend and address building reviewers' comments.
