Full Job Description Position:
System Layout Designer Location:

Clinton Township, MI .

Contract:

12+ months

Shift:

Standard day shift, starting at 6:00

AM Experience:

Trim Chassis experience is required

Responsibilities:

Create and maintain system and plant layouts for assigned projects. Develop layouts showing all equipment and system elements required at supplier and customer sites. Create layout drawings incorporating equipment, tooling, fencing, cable trays, robot placement, and related components. Attend open issues meetings and provide the latest layout drawings. Conduct field checks/site visits to verify existing equipment placement and locations. Coordinate with simulation teams for robot reach studies and placement information. Place equipment on system layouts and process equipment through PLM . Release completed system layouts to manufacturing through PLM. Provide installation drawings to customers. Ensure layouts comply with CAD, design, build, safety, quality, and environmental requirements. Communicate layout changes to the project team and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

Strong Trim Chassis experience. Experience with system layouts, plant layouts, or manufacturing layouts . CAD/design experience and ability to interpret technical drawings. Automotive manufacturing, robotics, automation, or tooling experience would be relevant. Ability to understand equipment placement, robot reach, tooling, fencing, and cable tray requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and technical procedures. Familiarity with PLM and engineering documentation is beneficial. Bachelor's degree preferred, or 1-2 years of relevant experience/training or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -- Manoj Prajapati |
