As a key contributor, you will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality designs that meet rigorous safety standards and project specifications. Your energy and attention to detail will help drive successful project outcomes from concept through construction. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive fire sprinkler system designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other building information modeling (BIM) tools. Create detailed schematics, drawings, and documentation for fire protection systems, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards. Utilize 3D CAD modeling tools like SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks to visualize complex piping layouts and mechanical components. Prepare accurate CAD detailing and engineering CAD designs that integrate seamlessly with architectural and structural plans. Collaborate closely with project teams to review construction documents, resolve design conflicts, and ensure constructability of sprinkler systems. Apply your knowledge of mechanical drafting, schematic development, and CAD documentation to produce precise drawings for installation. Assist in reviewing construction progress to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards. Skills Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, and other CAD software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated design workflows. Expertise in mechanical drafting, CAD detailing, and engineering CAD design related to fire sprinkler systems. Knowledge of schematics development and CAD documentation practices within the fire protection or mechanical engineering fields. Experience with construction processes and coordination of fire sprinkler system installation on-site. Familiarity with 2D animation techniques for visualizing system layouts can be a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across disciplines.
