Job Summary:

Responsible for supporting product design activities including developing new designs and/or improving upon the performance and design of existing products. Support the R D team by participating in design activities, building prototypes, and testing design concepts. Provide drafting/modeling and document management support. Perform accurate and precise drafting work utilizing CAD software. Create ECOs and have a thorough understanding of drafting standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models
• Develop detailed drawings
• Work with Engineers and Designers to address product updates and support the creation of new product design concepts. Use creativity and ingenuity in product development and continuous improvement activities
• Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity
• Assist in the production of graphic design elements for presentations and project documentation
• Maintain organized files of all drafts and revisions for easy access by team members
• Ensure document revision control is maintained through all process steps
• Become intimately familiar with product components and designs, understanding how design relates to field performance

• Strong understanding of mechanical design, fabrication processes, and assembly methods
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs preferred.
• Displays a positive demeaner and actively participates in a team environment

Education and Experience:

• 2-year AAS degree preferred
• Associates in CAD/Industrial Design from an accredited institution
