We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient CAD Drafter to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming architectural concepts into precise, production-ready shop drawings for high-end custom commercial cabinetry and architectural millwork. The ideal candidate has an understanding of cabinetry construction and is familiar with Microvellum .

Key Responsibilities Detailed Drafting:

Create comprehensive shop drawings, including elevations, sections, and details using Microvellum.

Technical Review:

Analyze architectural blueprints, specifications, and field measurements to ensure project feasibility and compliance with ADA and AWI standards.

Material Optimization:

Generate accurate cut lists and hardware requirements while minimizing material waste through efficient nesting.

Collaboration:

Coordinate closely with the Production Manager and the shop floor to resolve design challenges and ensure a seamless transition from office to production.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Experience in CAD drafting specifically within the commercial cabinetry or millwork industry is a plus.

Software Mastery:

Proficiency in Microvellum (Toolbox/OEM) is strongly desired, but will train for the right candidate

Industry Knowledge:

Strong understanding of laminate application, hardware integration, and commercial construction methods.

Precision:

Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to catch discrepancies in complex architectural sets. Preferred Experience Familiarity with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) Quality Standards. Prior experience working on a commercial cabinetry shop or in cabinet installation.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
