Lean Thinking:

Interns are expected to apply Lean principles and continuous improvement thinking throughout their project work; Lean training and resources will be provided. Our Goal is to provide interns with meaningful, hands-on experiences that contribute to business objectives while supporting their professional development TEL Silicon Valley (San Jose Site) Thin Films development team seeks a process engineering intern. The ideal candidate should be enrolled in one of the following fields: Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical methods, computer aided design (CAD), and computational plasma/fluids simulation tools are highly desired. Skills in coding and applying machine learning/AI techniques to accelerate learning and productivity are also strongly desired. Passion for technology; and strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills will benefit the candidate in this research and development-oriented laboratory environment. Duties and Responsibilities The statements below describe the essential duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. They are not intended as an exhaustive list of all job duties and responsibilities. Design and conduct process DOEs for process optimization

Analysis and data assimilation of tool signal data and metrology results.

Supervised work on plasma diagnostics and integration of diagnostic signals with tool and metrology data.

Construct reduced order models (ROMs) of chamber hardware and validate with tool signal data.

Simulate EM fields and plasmas using commercial codes.

Supervised work in TEL lab including sample preparation and data collection Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certification, & Licensure) Graduate level (M.S. or Ph.D.) preferred, strong candidates who are rising Junior or Senior level; Bachelor's level students in the named fields will be considered: Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical methods, computer aided design (CAD), and computational plasma/fluids simulation tools Prior experience working on thin films and/or in a cleanroom environment is a plus Diversity creates an innovative culture.
