Can you take a new mold, figure out what it needs, and build a process that consistently produces good parts? When something goes sideways, can you get to the root of it? That's the person we need. This is a hands-on role with a plastics manufacturer in Erie, Colorado. You'll have a direct hand in how molds are qualified, how processes are developed, and how the team improves production. Not in Colorado? Let's talk. There is $5,000 available to help with relocation. This is a full-time, on-site position. What you'll be working on Taking new and existing molds through trials and building reliable production processes. Using scientific molding methods to establish a solid process window and understand what's driving variation. Getting to the bottom of molding defects, material issues, and tooling problems. Finding practical ways to reduce scrap, improve cycle times, and keep parts within spec. Planning experiments and completing process qualification and validation work, including DOE and

IQ/OQ/PQ.

Putting together setup instructions and process documentation that the floor can actually use. Working with Tooling, Quality, and Engineering to catch problems early and make lasting improvements. Helping Setup Technicians troubleshoot, build their skills, and understand why a process works. Supporting robots, sprue pickers, and end-of-arm tooling. Bringing your molding knowledge into new product discussions, drawing reviews, quoting, and customer conversations. What we need from you You need to bring solid scientific injection molding experience. We're looking for someone who has applied it on the floor and can explain the thinking behind their process decisions. A minimum of 2 years in plastics injection molding. Ideally, you'll bring 5+ years in molding or process engineering. Hands-on experience developing processes, running mold trials, and troubleshooting production. Experience using process data, statistical analysis, and DOE to solve problems. Familiarity with process validation, including

IQ/OQ/PQ. A

good understanding of molding equipment, tooling, resins, automation, and supporting equipment. The ability to work from prints and technical requirements. Knowledge of root-cause analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO quality systems. Someone who works well with the team and is comfortable sharing what they know. A related engineering degree is preferred.
