Full-Time Key Responsibilities Manage engineering project schedules and capital investment projects. Review new product designs and recommend improvements to enhance manufacturability and process performance. Develop equipment and tooling specifications and oversee equipment installation, startup, and production trials. Design and optimize injection molding and assembly processes to meet quality, delivery, cost, safety, and productivity targets. Create and maintain process documentation, including PFMEAs, process flow diagrams, work instructions, risk assessments, and trial reports. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve process performance and reduce defects. Support Kaizen and continuous improvement activities using Lean and TPS principles. Design or specify End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT), fixtures, and manufacturing equipment. Train and support technicians on new equipment, tooling, and processes. Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, suppliers, and customers to support successful product launches and ongoing production. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience with thermoplastics, injection molding processes, mold construction, and resin processing. Knowledge of Scientific Injection Molding principles and automotive manufacturing standards. Experience with robotics programming and automation systems (Fanuc, Star, or similar preferred). Strong project management, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. Ability to develop Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), conduct design reviews, and interpret engineering drawings. Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS), Lean Manufacturing, TS, and ISO requirements. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, multicultural environment. Technical Skills Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and Visio) AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software 3D printing and basic fabrication tools Injection molding equipment, automation, and robotics Physical & Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and production equipment. Frequent standing and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Moderate noise levels with occasional exposure to heat and humid conditions. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
