Chemical Engineer- Process Development & Scale Up Tewksbury, MA Science GMP Manufacturing Responsibilities:
Develop, scale, and optimize chemical processes from lab to pilot and continuous manufacturing. Design, size, and select process equipment, including reactors, pumps, vessels, piping, and instrumentation. Develop P&IDs/PFDs and perform process calculations. Execute scale-up experiments and troubleshoot process/equipment issues. Support equipment assembly, commissioning, and pilot operations. Participate in HAZOP, FMEA, and process safety reviews. Develop SOPs, technical documentation, and process control strategies. Collaborate with R D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to transition processes into production
Requirements:
BS/MS in Chemical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Proven experience with process development, scale-up, and pilot/continuous manufacturing. Hands-on experience with chemical processing equipment, P&IDs, instrumentation, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of reaction engineering, heat/mass transfer, fluid mechanics, and separations. Experience with HAZOP/FMEA and process safety. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. IND1
