Job Description SummaryThe Senior Chemical Engineer - Process Development leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in a specialized field. In this role you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategyJob Description Roles and Responsibilities Embrace Global Nuclear Fuel's nuclear safety culture, where work is performed with an overriding priority on integrity, safety, security and quality.

The chemical engineer will work within the Uranium Product Center and with existing chem lab resources to develop and implement processes, equipment, and methods for uranium fuel product analysis.

Responsibilities include the following:

Develop and optimize analysis processes and methods to ensure accurate, reliable and efficient testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final products. This includes defining sample protocols and analytical techniques suited to the production needs.

Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate analytical equipment based on production requirements, accuracy, cost, and scalability. Oversee installation, calibration, and validation of equipment.

Establish and validate methods to meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g.
ISO, ASTM
). Create standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across testing activities.

Analyze data generated from chemical analyses to monitor product quality, identify trends, troubleshoot production issues. Work closely with the overall engineering and quality assurance team to align analytical processes with operational goals. Communicate finding and recommendations effectively with stakeholders.

Ensure all analytical processes and equipment adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.

Implement and manage projects for chemical manufacturing. Required Qualifications 4-Year Technical Degree in Engineering, Materials, Chemistry or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited university.

ORAssociate's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.10+ years of experience in design and development of manufacturing processes and equipment.

AND6+ years of experience with technical engineering work scope.2+ years of experience in industrial process design or equipment design. Eligibility Requirements The work location for this role is Wilmington, NC (Relocation Assistance can apply for outside the area candidates).This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Walk up and down stairs. Occasionally climb ladders. Crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching around manufacturing equipment. Uses computer equipment frequently with proven ability.
