Operating from an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Hollis, New Hampshire, we provide high-quality die cast and static tooling components that support a wide range of industrial and manufacturing applications. Position Summary Diamond Casting and Machine is seeking a highly experienced Senior Die Cast Process Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of our die casting operations. This key technical role is responsible for driving process excellence, improving production performance, supporting tooling and manufacturing initiatives, and ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency throughout the production lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aluminum die casting, strong process engineering expertise, and a proven record of successfully leading manufacturing improvement projects in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, implement, and optimize die casting processes for both new and existing products. Lead process and tooling improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and operational efficiency. Troubleshoot manufacturing and tooling issues, identifying and implementing effective corrective actions. Manage die casting projects from concept and development through production launch and validation. Collaborate with engineering, quality, tooling, maintenance, and production teams to ensure successful project execution and product performance. Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions for process-related challenges. Monitor and improve critical process parameters to minimize variation and maximize consistency. Support thermal management and process control strategies to optimize casting performance. Analyze production data and utilize statistical methods to drive process improvements. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers, technicians, and production personnel. Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices within the die casting industry. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment. Significant experience in aluminum die casting process development and manufacturing engineering. Strong understanding of foundry operations and die casting methodologies. Knowledge of casting dies, molten metal handling, pouring processes, critical process controls, part extraction, trimming, and deburring operations. Experience with thermal control systems and process optimization techniques. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Experience applying statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making methods. Proficiency with manufacturing software and electronic systems. Strong understanding of measurement systems, inspection methods, and quality standards. Preferred CAD software experience. Experience leading cross-functional manufacturing improvement projects. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience mentoring or leading technical teams.
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
