$65.00-$75.00 per Hour (Depending on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer - Plant Operations to provide engineering support for operating process facilities, utilities, and balance-of-plant systems. This position will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, and Project teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting process and equipment issues, supporting facility reliability initiatives, participating in Management of Change (MOC) activities, conducting engineering evaluations, and driving continuous improvement efforts across the facility. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day engineering support for process systems, utilities, and facility operations. Troubleshoot process, equipment, and operational issues affecting plant performance and reliability. Support facility reliability, integrity, and risk mitigation initiatives. Lead and participate in Management of Change (MOC) activities. Identify, evaluate, and resolve process and facility vulnerabilities. Coordinate engineering studies, process evaluations, and technical assessments. Support maintenance planning, operational readiness, and equipment performance initiatives. Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, and Project teams to improve plant reliability and efficiency. Review engineering calculations, technical documents, procedures, and recommendations. Assist with implementation and execution of facility improvement projects. Interface with contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers. Monitor plant performance and recommend process improvements. Support compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. Drive technical action items to completion and support continuous improvement efforts. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Experience supporting operating process facilities, industrial plants, petrochemical facilities, LNG facilities, refineries, natural gas processing facilities, or similar environments. Strong experience supporting live plant operations. Experience troubleshooting process, equipment, and operational issues. Experience participating in or leading Management of Change (MOC) programs. Experience working closely with Operations and Maintenance teams. Knowledge of process safety, facility reliability, and asset integrity principles. Ability to coordinate technical studies and drive corrective actions to closure. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience within LNG, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, or heavy industrial facilities. Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles. Experience supporting reliability, integrity, or facility improvement projects. Knowledge of engineering standards, operating procedures, and technical documentation. $65.00 - $70.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
