Job Description

Process Engineer Location:
Evanston, Wyoming We are seeking an experienced refinery professional to support day-to-day operations at the Silver Eagle Refining facility in Evanston, Wyoming. This role provides operational and laboratory leadership while supporting safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant refinery operations. The position is designed to develop into a broader facility management role. Key Responsibilities Support refinery operations across process units, the tank farm, and product quality control to achieve short- and long-term operational goals. Support the Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Monitor unit performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend operational changes to optimize facility performance. Complete additive tracking, volume balances, and other required operational documentation Supervise laboratory personnel, delegate responsibilities, establish goals, and maintain an efficient and compliant laboratory operation. Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and meets all required QA/QC standards and regulations. Assist with developing, reviewing, and validating operating procedures. Support turnaround planning and major maintenance activities by helping develop work scopes. Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday on-call coverage to support operations and maintenance. Train and develop as a backup for key leadership responsibilities, with the opportunity to progress into a facility management position. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of operations experience , preferably with a strong emphasis in oil refining . High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional teams, and take a proactive, action-oriented approach to operational challenges. This position works closely with Operations, Engineering, and Marketing and plays a key role in supporting the safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant operation of the Evanston refinery.
