Projects range from smaller urban developments to 200-480+ unit multifamily communities and may include podium, affordable housing, modular/prefabricated construction, and complex urban developments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with multifamily construction experience who wants to gain exposure across project management, field operations, procurement, cost control, and preconstruction while developing toward an Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager role. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers and Superintendents on ground-up multifamily construction projects Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation Review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, and field teams Maintain submittal, RFI, procurement, and long-lead material logs Assist with subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, contracts, and purchase orders Support project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management Track material and equipment procurement to maintain project schedules Participate in owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings Work closely with Superintendents to resolve field coordination and constructability issues Assist with schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and milestone tracking Support coordination of podium, concrete, framing, MEP, building envelope, interiors, and finish scopes Assist with quality control, inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities Support project closeout including O&M manuals, warranties, as-builts, and final documentation Requirements 1-5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role with a general contractor or multifamily builder Multifamily construction experience strongly preferred Ground-up construction experience preferred Experience with apartments, condominiums, affordable housing, mixed-use, or other residential developments preferred Exposure to podium construction is a strong plus Understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings Basic understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment Preferred Experience Ground-up multifamily construction Podium and urban multifamily developments 100+ unit apartment communities Affordable and workforce housing Modular or prefabricated construction Concrete and wood-frame construction Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management tools Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonus potential Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid holidays and PTO Clear career path into Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager Exposure to large-scale ground-up multifamily projects Long-term growth within an integrated development, design, manufacturing, and construction organization
