Project Engineer RimePro Inc Newark, CA Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $105,000 a year 14 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee stock ownership plan Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Construction specifications Construction RFI responses Project change management Construction drawing review Construction document control Construction submittals Construction change order management Full Job Description Summary We're partnering with a well-established, employee-owned mechanical contractor that's expanding its Northern California team and looking to add Project Engineers to support upcoming commercial construction projects. This opportunity offers exposure to large-scale commercial and healthcare projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers and field teams. The company has a strong project pipeline and offers long-term stability, mentorship, and opportunities for continued growth. Candidates with commercial construction experience are encouraged to apply. HVAC or plumbing experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination from preconstruction through closeout Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, and procurement Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and project stakeholders Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements Track material deliveries, long-lead items, and project milestones Participate in project meetings and assist with resolving field coordination issues Support quality control, inspections, and project closeout Requirements 1-3+ years of commercial construction experience preferred Experience with a general contractor or specialty subcontractor HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical construction experience preferred but not required Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent construction experience Compensation & Benefits 100% employee-owned company (ESOP) Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation Training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities Opportunity to work on large-scale commercial and healthcare projects
