Full Job Description Data Collection & Analysis:
Anbessaw has an exceptional opportunity for an Entry Level Staff Engineer to establish themselves with a growing company offering the potential for future personal growth and leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Overseeing soil/concrete/asphalt lab operations, participating in geotechnical field investigations, and coordinating with senior staff Maintaining project research, field/lab results, and report preparation o Analyzing technical specifications for construction projects Preparing designs, reports, and other documents for review by senior staff o Performing site investigations, observing construction processes, sampling materials, and producing documentation Record and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in results. Compare test results against project specifications, industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO), and regulatory requirements. Identify any deviations from expected results and communicate these to the appropriate project team members.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare detailed test reports, including data, observations, and recommendations. Maintain accurate records of all testing activities, including sample logs, equipment calibration records, and test results. Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner and filed according to company procedures.
Quality Control & Assurance:
Work closely with quality control teams to ensure that construction materials meet the required standards. Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance procedures for material testing. Participate in internal and external audits of laboratory practices and equipment. Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in majors related to the construction industry such as Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, and Construction Management Knowledge of commonly used engineering/construction concepts, practices, and procedures Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and other analysis software/applications Preferred Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills EIT/FE certification Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Extended periods of computer use and sitting are expected. Occasional on-call responsibilities may be required for critical production systems. Light travel may be required for team offsites, engineering summits, or industry events. The role demands strong focus, independent decision-making, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Pay:
$28.84 - $40.86 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
