Assist with site observations, field reports, structural assessments, and the development of repair details when required. Support projects through design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration. Maintain established company standards for engineering quality, drawing production, and document control. Manage assigned project tasks, schedules, and deliverables while communicating effectively with project managers and team members. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer license or Engineer Intern certification is preferred, depending on experience level. Experience with the structural design of commercial, residential, multifamily, healthcare, industrial, or institutional buildings. Proficiency with structural engineering software such as Tekla Structural Designer, ETABS, SAFE, RAM Elements, and
ENERCALC.
Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD for structural modeling, coordination, and construction-document production. Strong understanding of gravity and lateral structural systems, including wind and seismic design. Working knowledge of applicable building codes and structural standards, including the IBC, Florida Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, TMS 402/602, and NDS. Experience designing steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, wood, and foundation systems. Ability to prepare clear, organized, and technically sound structural calculations and construction documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. Practical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and field conditions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple building-design projects and meet established deadlines. Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. We are looking for a proactive and construction-minded engineer who takes pride in producing practical, coordinated, and cost-effective structural solutions.
