US Job Summary:
The purpose of the internship is to provide meaningful professional experience to students with proven academic performance and leadership potential. The internship will expose the participants to real world applications and allow for hands on experience. As a Field Engineer Intern, you will work alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and Quality Control personnel to gain insight into field operations, project coordination, site logistics, and quality assurance practices. This role is ideal for students seeking to apply their classroom knowledge in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field to real world scenarios. Responsibilities of this
Position:
- Assist field engineer and QC personnel.
- Prepare plans and construction details throughout project.
- Work on site to assure conditions are as anticipated, work is being done properly, as designed, and assuring design is correct.
- Perform QC testing for deep foundations and earthwork.
- Create QC documentation.
- Prepare daily activities reports.
- Adhere to safe practices.
Requirements:
- Students must be pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Engineering Technology), Construction Management, or Geology
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.
- Standard work schedule consists of 10-hour shifts.
- Role involves regular physical activity and may include tasks requiring heavy lifting (50 lbs or more).
- A valid driver's license. Expectations for success in the program include:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (more specifically Excel)
