GWES is seeking a motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing team in Douglasville, Georgia. Our Douglasville office is our newest location as part of GWES's continued expansion throughout Metro Atlanta, creating an exciting opportunity for the selected candidate to contribute to the growth of a developing office while gaining meaningful experience across a variety of civil engineering projects. The successful Engineer-in-Training (EIT) candidate will play a key role in planning and designing innovative water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure solutions that make a tangible impact in our communities. Depending on project needs and the candidate's experience, the position may involve multiple phases of project delivery, from initial planning and design through permitting, bidding, and construction. GWES is a Georgia-based civil, environmental, and transportation engineering firm founded in 2010. In addition to our growing Douglasville and Roswell teams, we have offices in Perry, Mansfield, and Brunswick serving public- and private-sector clients throughout the Southeast. Responsibilities Include:

Review development and utility plans for compliance with municipal and state standards associated with stormwater. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater systems. Experience using multiple software platforms is preferred but not required (i.e., Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, SWMM, ICPR). Assist in the planning and design of municipal water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. Conduct field investigations for environmental impacts associated with civil infrastructure projects. Conduct economic analyses for civil infrastructure projects to assess feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Prepare construction drawings, technical specifications, and supporting documents. Ensure timely and effective project execution to meet client needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

The successful candidate will: Be registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Georgia (required) Have a minimum of two years' experience in water, wastewater, or stormwater planning or design Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Hold a current and valid driver's license and have reliable transportation Commit to adhering to safety procedures and guidelines at all times
