Civil Engineering Position - Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer Intern (EI) McBade Engineers & Consultants, LLC | Youngsville, Louisiana McBade Engineers & Consultants, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer, either a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer Intern (EI), to join our team in Youngsville, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and computer-aided design (CAD) for water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and general civil infrastructure projects. This position will primarily consist of preparing engineering designs, developing hydrologic and hydraulic models, producing construction drawings using CAD software, performing engineering calculations, preparing technical reports and specifications, and providing periodic on-site observation. Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, quality-driven, team-focused, dependable, and capable of managing multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines and budget constraints. Strong technical skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Job Responsibilities Perform civil engineering design for water, wastewater, drainage, stormwater management, transportation, and related infrastructure projects. Develop and evaluate hydrologic and hydraulic models for drainage systems, watersheds, detention facilities, and infrastructure improvements. Prepare engineering drawings, plans, details, and construction documents using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other applicable CAD software. Perform engineering calculations, technical analyses, and design evaluations. Prepare engineering specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, planning documents, and studies. Review construction drawings, drainage models, and engineering reports for accuracy and completeness. Coordinate with project engineers, designers, and other team members. Conduct field investigations, site visits, and periodic construction observations. Assist with permitting and regulatory agency coordination. Work under the direction of Senior Engineers and Firm Principals, with responsibilities appropriate to experience and licensure. Provide quality deliverables to clients on time and within established project budgets. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana, eligible for licensure through reciprocity, or registered Engineer Intern (EI/EIT). Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant civil engineering design experience. Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D with demonstrated ability to prepare engineering design drawings and construction plans. Experience performing engineering calculations and technical analyses. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a project team. Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, including

HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA

SWMM, or similar applications. Experience designing drainage systems, detention facilities, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, or roadway improvements. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar engineering design software. Experience preparing construction plans, technical specifications, and engineering cost estimates. Construction administration, field inspection, or construction observation experience. Project management experience is a plus.
