Job Description
Structural Engineer (multiple openings)
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the design of structural systems for commercial, institutional, and multi-family residential buildings.
- Prepare structural design calculations, specifications, and analyses for new structures.
- Develop structural plans, details, and sections for construction documents using structural engineering software, including Revit, RAM Concept, and AutoCAD.
Prepare detailed project specifications in coordination with the project team. Perform construction-phase services, including shop drawing review, responses to requests for information (RFIs), periodic construction site observations, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
Coordinate and communicate with external architectural teams to address issues that arise during design and construction.
Job Requirements:
A bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field. In addition, the position requires demonstrated knowledge of prestressed concrete design, acquired through coursework, training, or experience.
Travel requirements: 5% local travel within DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia)
