Civil Engineering Project Manager Project Manager | PE | Land Development Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong civil engineering background to lead land development projects from concept through construction. The role is focused on delivering high-quality site design and development work, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing project financials, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer with expertise in land development and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of land development and civil engineering projects, from planning and design through construction administration. Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, and sub-contractors to ensure project milestones are met. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed. Produce and review engineering deliverables including site design, grading, drainage, utility plans, and permit documents to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Serve as primary client contact to build and maintain strong relationships, communicate project status, and manage expectations. Prepare and review proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and fee proposals for new and existing projects. Manage project financials including invoicing, budget tracking, change orders, and profitability analysis to meet firm targets. Oversee construction administration, attend site visits, and coordinate with contractors to resolve issues and ensure conformity with design intent. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, fostering professional development and promoting best practices. Ensure quality control and project documentation standards are followed, and facilitate timely delivery of project records and closeout packages. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required. 7+ years of experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on land development and site design. Proven experience in project management roles overseeing site development projects, with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Strong knowledge of municipal permitting processes, land development codes, grading and drainage design, and utility coordination. Excellent client relations and communication skills; experience acting as primary client liaison. Experience managing project financials including budgeting, invoicing, and profitability tracking. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, including mentoring and coordinating technical teams. Proficiency with industry software
