(PEI), a well-established Civil Engineering firm located in Charlevoix, is seeking an Entry Level/ Mid-Level Civil Engineer to support our engineering services. PEI strives to provide a full range of engineering services including civil, structural, and geotechnical, as well as, materials testing. This position will be responsible for performing site plan design, infrastructure design support, drainage plans, and the drafting and calculations that are typically associated with this work. The applicant may also be responsible for providing periodic construction inspection and testing duties at a variety of infrastructure improvement projects throughout Northwest Michigan. In addition to the activities described above, this position requires administrative and office duties associated with project support under the direction of a project manager. Qualifications for this position include the following: College degree in civil engineering or related field. EIT or ability to obtain within one year. Experience in AutoCAD, or other drafting platform. Previous engineering experience desired based on position Drivers license and reliable personal transportation. Ability to work standing for extended periods and lift 40 lbs. General computer literacy, with working proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel. A general aptitude and desire to work in a flexible office environment where there will be a variety of duties. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
