This position will support commercial construction and architectural millwork projects from the estimating and preconstruction stages through fabrication and project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, cabinetry and millwork, material takeoffs, and project costs. This role requires the ability to translate architectural plans and project requirements into accurate estimates, detailed shop drawings, and production-ready information. Key Responsibilities Review architectural drawings, specifications, plans, and project documents to determine project scope and requirements. Prepare detailed and accurate material takeoffs, labor estimates, and project cost estimates. Develop cabinetry and millwork drawings using Cabinet Vision. Utilize WoodWOP to assist with CNC programming and production requirements. Create and review shop drawings, layouts, cut lists, material lists, and other fabrication documents. Translate architectural and design drawings into accurate production-ready plans. Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field personnel, vendors, and production teams. Identify potential design conflicts, missing information, and constructability concerns before fabrication or installation. Assist with value engineering and recommend cost-effective materials or construction methods when appropriate. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Prepare estimates, proposals, change-order pricing, and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate project records and revisions throughout the estimating and production process. Verify dimensions, materials, hardware, finishes, and other project specifications. Assist with project handoff from estimating to project management and production. Support projects throughout fabrication and installation by answering technical questions and resolving drawing or design issues. Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Required Qualifications Experience in construction estimating, construction engineering, architectural millwork, cabinetry, or a related field. Proficiency in Cabinet Vision required. Proficiency in WoodWOP required. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Knowledge of commercial cabinetry, casework, architectural millwork, materials, hardware, and fabrication methods. Experience preparing material takeoffs and cost estimates. Understanding of CNC manufacturing and production processes. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, field personnel, vendors, customers, and production staff. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other construction-related software. Preferred Qualifications Degree or technical training in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Architecture, or a related field. Previous experience in commercial construction and/or architectural millwork. Experience programming or preparing files for CNC equipment. Experience developing detailed shop drawings for cabinets, casework, and custom millwork. Knowledge of commercial construction estimating and project management processes.
