10/28/2026 The Engineering Services department presents a unique career opportunity as a Civil Engineer II . This position performs intermediate engineering work involving planning, design, review, field inspection, and administration work for a variety of public infrastructure projects. Coordinates with other City departments and Utilities as well as non-city utilities, contractors, and state and federal agencies . Check out the great benefits the City has to offer. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field Two years of progressive experience in engineering Engineer Intern Certification Valid NC driver's license or valid out-of-state driver's license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver's license within sixty days of employment and good driving record Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
