In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of engineers while managing a portfolio of capital improvement projects across various municipal sectors. This hybrid position offers a flexible work environment, allowing for a mix of remote work and in-office collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in municipal engineering, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage both technical and client-facing aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of municipal engineers, providing guidance, technical support, and professional development opportunities. Project Oversight
• Oversee the preparation of engineering documents for municipal projects, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway, drainage, sewer, water, parks, and athletic fields improvements. Project Management
• Manage multiple high-priority projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Field Inspections & Assessments
• Conduct or oversee field inspections of infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with design standards and local regulations. Review & Approvals
• Review municipal site plans, zoning applications, and subdivisions, preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations for Planning & Zoning Boards. Client Relations & Communication
• Cultivate strong relationships with municipal clients, offering proactive communication and problem-solving expertise to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

B.S in Civil Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering, including project management for design and construction projects. Must have Professional Engineer (PE) license. Professional Planner (PP) license a plus. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Experience in reviewing applications for Land Use Boards with availability for Municipal (Land Use Board, Council and/or Committee) night meetings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to organize and manage multiple projects. Ability to work in a team environment, self-starter, demonstrated organization skills, team player and willingness to learn. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
