This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to begin a career in fire protection, construction, engineering, or project management . Previous fire protection experience is not required—we are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working both on active construction sites and with office-based teams. What You'll Do Visit active fire protection installation projects. Work directly with field installers and union tradespeople. Review project drawings and plans to understand job requirements. Observe and document daily construction progress. Track job-site conditions and communicate updates to project, engineering, and drafting teams. Maintain organized electronic copies of plans, drawings, and project documents. Record drawing reviews, field changes, and important project information. Send daily progress updates by email or text to appropriate team members. Assist with project paperwork and general engineering support. Learn fire protection systems, construction practices, and project coordination processes. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework, technical training, or a degree in engineering, construction management, drafting, or a related field is helpful but not required. Interest in building a career in fire protection or construction. Ability to read or willingness to learn how to interpret construction plans and drawings. Basic computer skills and the ability to work with PDFs, email, and electronic documents. AutoCAD experience is a plus, but training can be provided. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, and able to work independently. Comfortable working on active construction sites. Willingness to learn from field installers, engineers, and project managers. Able to report to work early, with typical start times between 6:00 and 7:30 a.m. , depending on the job site. Work Schedule Full-time position. Primarily field-based, with regular coordination with office personnel. Start time varies based on project and job-site requirements. Why Join United Fire Protection?
