Job Description
Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Building Engineer/Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for both employees and visitors. This position requires a hands-on approach to facility maintenance, including light repairs and upkeep. Duties Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. Conduct inspections of the premises to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards. Assist with minor repairs and maintenance tasks, utilizing mechanical knowledge and precision measuring instruments as necessary. Fabricate small components or fixtures as needed to support ongoing maintenance efforts. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests from staff and management regarding facility needs. Utilize electrical tools and equipment safely, including voltmeters for basic electrical checks. Collaborate with the maintenance team for larger repair projects or high voltage issues when required. Requirements Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing, electric, and facility maintenance. Familiarity with low voltage systems and ability to work with high voltage equipment is a plus. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for various tasks. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while performing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with team members and management. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail in all tasks performed.
