Hasen Global is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Project Engineer to join our Frederick, MD team for a project at Mansfield Lahm ANGB in Mansfield, OH. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Hasen Global field team to support the successful planning and execution of construction projects. The project includes secure-area construction with project-specific construction security requirements. This position plays a key role in project coordination, document control, scheduling, subcontractor management, safety compliance, quality control, and cost management. The ideal candidate is a motived problem-solver who can effectively manage multiple priorities. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Employee will be expected to work onsite Mansfield Lahm Air National Guard Base on a full-time basis. Work is expected to be Monday through Friday with some after-hours and weekend work required as necessary for project.
Required Qualifications Applicants must have:
Microsoft suite (Office, Word, Excel, etc.) proficiency The ability to read, write, and converse fluently in English The ability to communicate effectively both internally and with clients and subcontractors Strong organizational skills US Citizens only Preferred Qualifications Excellent candidates posses: Experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar construction role preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred - relevant construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Autodesk and/or Bluebeam Revu software proficiency The ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, blueprints, schematics, and other construction documents. CQM-C Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling software. An active security clearance Experience with working for Ohio Air National Guard, USACE, NAVFAC, or other MIL-COM construction experience Familiarity with EM-385-1-1 and/or OSHA 30 certification Primary Responsibilities The Project Engineer will: Help organize and keep construction drawings and project documents up to date and accurate. Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project operations, planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure project milestones and contractual requirements are met. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to track progress, resolve field and administrative issues, and ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and project requirements. Help prepare, track, and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation. Coordinate responses with appropriate project stakeholders and ensure timely resolution. Assist with developing, updating, and monitoring project schedules, short-term look-ahead schedules, procurement activities, and critical project milestones. Support project cost tracking, change order documentation, subcontractor change requests, purchase orders, and other financial controls. Assist with implementation of project-specific safety plans and compliance with
OSHA, EM
385-1-1, and other owner requirements. Assist with quality control activities, inspections, punch lists, and documentation to ensure construction meets contract drawings, specifications, and applicable standards. Utilize software to review, navigate, mark up, coordinate, and manage construction drawings and project information. Assist in identifying drawing conflicts, documenting field conditions, and communicating design or coordination issues to the project team. Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders. Assist with punch-list completion, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, closeout documentation, and turnover requirements.
