Job Description

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING INTERN

Type:

Part-Time Base Pay:

$16 to $20 per hour, depending on experience

Location:

Klamath Falls, Oregon

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position involves working with a project engineer and or project manager to design a variety of commercial, municipal and residential projects. The Intern will assist Project Engineers/Managers in performing structural analysis & design computations and preparing structural plans & details for various private and public projects. Involvement in construction engineering, inspection and materials testing is also anticipated. Project sites will be located primarily in southern Oregon.

REQUIREMENTS

At a minimum, applicants must have completed the following, or equivalent, course work: Required CE203

Engineering Graphics ENGR213
Strengths of Materials CE331
Structural Analysis CE341
Elementary Structural Design Preferred CE442
Advanced Reinforced Concrete Design CE338
Timber Design CE431
Structural Loading & Lateral Loads Construction experience is always a plus and good communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed to interact with colleagues, clients, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies.
