Insight Global Keyword Location Search view all jobs Senior Project Engineer (PA) Macungie, PA Posted yesterday Apply Now Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale, highly technical capital project. This individual will play a critical role in project coordination, document management, design integration, procurement tracking, schedule support, and stakeholder communication throughout multiple phases of project execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background supporting complex projects in life sciences, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, or other highly technical environments. They will serve as a key member of the project team, partnering closely with project management, design partners, consultants, subcontractors, project controls, and client stakeholders to maintain alignment across project objectives. This position is an individual contributor role and does not include direct supervisory or mentorship responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, design revisions, meeting minutes, permits, contracts, and project correspondence. Coordinate with project managers, design teams, consultants, and trade partners to support successful project execution. Review project documents to identify potential conflicts, coordination gaps, and constructability concerns. Track procurement activities and monitor material, equipment, and vendor deliverables against project schedules. Support project schedule management by monitoring milestone completion and identifying potential risks to key deliverables. Assist with budget tracking, cost reporting, forecasting, and change management processes. Coordinate design development activities and facilitate resolution of engineering and construction-related issues. Support quality and compliance documentation requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain organized project records and ensure documentation remains accurate, current, and audit-ready. Prepare reports, presentations, dashboards, and project status updates for leadership and stakeholders. Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate action items across multiple teams. Collaborate with project controls and scheduling teams to support project planning and progress reporting. Proactively identify project risks and support development of mitigation strategies. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline. 8+ years of Project Engineer experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission critical, life sciences, semiconductor, manufacturing, or advanced technology programs. Experience supporting projects valued at $500M+. Strong understanding of project controls, document management, procurement coordination, and project delivery processes. Experience managing RFIs, submittals, drawing reviews, change documentation, and project reporting. Familiarity with project scheduling methodologies and critical path concepts. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholder groups in a complex project environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar project management platforms. Previous experience supporting life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, mission critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or large industrial programs. Experience supporting projects from early planning and design phases through full project completion. Understanding of permitting, utility coordination, infrastructure packages, structural systems, and major building delivery programs. Experience working within highly regulated or technically complex environments. Knowledge of cost forecasting, earned value management, project controls, and schedule reporting.
