Coordinate and schedule geotechnical subsurface evaluationsPerform boring mark-outs for utility clearance and supervise drill rig crewsClassify soils and log borings, test pits, and coresConduct floor level surveys and document distressed structuresAssign laboratory testing and assist with geotechnical report preparationCompile laboratory test data and perform geotechnical analysesConduct calculations for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, and settlementQualificationsEducationB.S. in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering (required)M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering or related field (preferred)Required SkillsEntry-level to up to 2 years of geotechnical consulting experience (preferred)Understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering principlesStrong verbal and written communication skillsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and good organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborativelyValid driver's license and clean driving recordAdditional InformationCompetitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) For more information, please visit www.socotec.us
